Registration
Deposit
  • Is required from every student for each session to guarantee the student a space in the program and the placement test.
  • The deposit can be transferred one time to a subsequent session within the same year provided the Administration Office is notified in writing prior to the start date of the program.
  • The first deposit is never refundable.
  • Future session deposits can be refunded if the Administration office is notified before the deposit deadline.

Placement Test
  • Applies to students who are not registered in a program and wish to only take the placement test.

Tuition Fees
  • Cover the cost for providing the selected hours of teacher led English language instruction for the specified dates listed on the student’s Letter of Acceptance.
  • Tuition fees do not include textbooks (mandatory), medical insurance (mandatory unless exemption approved) or extra-curricular events (optional).
  • By accepting to join a RELA program, students agree to promptly pay the full fees for the selected program regardless of whether the student arrives late and commences classes after the start date.
  • No rebates or refunds will be offered for National holidays which fall within the specified program dates or Academy closures due to situations beyond the RELA’s control such as but not limited to: bad weather, fire, acts of God, acts of terrorism, riots, lockouts or strikes.

Tuition Balance
  • The tuition due less the $250.00CAD registration deposit already paid.

Tuition Refunds All refund requests must be sent in writing prior to the deadline specified.
  • If you cancel before the start date of your program or before registration you will receive a refund of fees paid minus $250.00CAD registration deposit.

  • If you withdraw after registration and before 4:00pm on the Friday of the 1st week, refund of fees paid minus $600.00CAD ($250 registration deposit + $350 for 1 week).

  • If you withdraw after registration and before 4:00pm on the Friday of the 2nd week, refund of fees paid minus $950.00CAD ($250 registration deposit + $700 for 2 weeks).

  • If you withdraw after registration and before 4:00pm on the Friday of the 3rd week, refund of fees paid minus $1300.00CAD ($250 registration deposit+$1050 for 3 weeks).

  • No tuition refunds will be granted after the third week of classes. Once issued, textbooks are non-refundable.
    *Bank/Wire/EFT fees are the student’s responsibility.**

Unpaid Fees
  • Students who owe fees $250.00 CAD or more (including tuition, textbooks, medical insurance etc…) will not receive letters or reports of any kind until the fees are paid.
  • Students will not be permitted to register for the next session until the outstanding fees are paid.

Textbooks Students must purchase the required textbooks. Used textbooks are not permitted. If a student is required to repeat a Stage they will be required to purchase new textbooks. Mandatory $100.00CAD per Stage.

Access Card
(Deposit)
Provides students access to the 1st floor facilities (Suite 100).
Registered students are issued an access card for the duration of their study period and are required to pay the deposit.
Upon completion or termination of studies the student must return the access card to the Administration Office (located on 3rd Floor – Room 301) and the deposit will be refunded.
Mandatory $25.00CAD
Refundable upon return of the access card.
Medical
Insurance
All international students attending RELA must hold valid adequate medical insurance (minimum annual maximum of $1,000,000CAD or equivalent) for the duration of their studies.
The purpose is to protect the student should an unforeseen medical emergency develop and the student must seek medical or hospital treatment.
Students may purchase coverage through RELA:

  • Prior to departure from their home country (in order to be covered during transit to Canada) or
  • Upon arrival to RELA. Coverage will start on first day of class.

Students will not be permitted to attend classes unless they hold adequate medical insurance.

Mandatory unless exempt. To be exempt from paying the indicated fee, students must demonstrate they hold adequate valid health insurance for the duration of their study period at RELA.
Students who are exempt must sign a Health Insurance Waiver Form before the medical insurance fee is waived.

Premium Due


Premium Refunds: If an insured ceases to be eligible for coverage or the insured returns permanently to
their home country before the end of the coverage period, the insured will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused
portion of premium, provided that no claims have or will be submitted under the policy. Refunds are subject to a $25.00
administration fee. The insurer determines and issues premium refunds.
Extra­Curricular Activities and Events To enhance students’ learning experience, RELA offers students the option of participating in activities and events outside the classroom setting during and/or after class hours. Optional – student has the option of participating and paying the agreed upon applicable fee(s).
Student must complete and sign the Student Activity Release and Indemnity Form in order to participate.
Fees will be clearly posted in advance outlining the activity or event and available dates.
Additional Workshops In order to assist students in improving their language skills, additional workshops will be made available during the year based on student demand. Optional – student has the option of participating and paying the agreed upon applicable fee(s). Fees will be clearly posted in advance with the duration and available dates.
Airport Pick­Up

Student may request service. Contact Student Services to obtain details and make arrangements. Optional – student has the option to choose service and pay the agreed upon applicable fee(s). $90.00CAD one-way service.
