PEP is designed for students who have decided which Proficiency Test they wish to prepare and register for.
There are 6 available PEP programs to choose from, one for each specific proficiency test:
|IELTS ACADEMIC MODULE||IELTS GENERAL TRAINING||CAEL|
Each specific program is designed for the advanced level student. Students are prepared and oriented to the test structure and examiner expectations. They are taught how to manipulate their existing skills and techniques to demonstrate their high level of proficiency. The program incorporates reflective learning and critical thinking while stressing style and vocabulary. All modules are examined and all four skill areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are continuously practiced and tested. Word and time limits are strictly adhered to. Performance is graded using the prescribed score bands. Instructors provide feedback, personal learning plans and targets.
Program Duration: Each specific PEP full-time and part-time program is 4 weeks in duration. Students are required to complete a placement test upon arrival to determine their English language proficiency.
Classes are held daily, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 9:00pm for a total of 25 (full-time) or 15 hours (part-time) of teacher-led instruction per week. Refer to our sample standard Class Schedule.
